Matt Scott "Relative Transparency in Christ"Request for Prayer and Finances for Papua New Guinea Mission. My Friends My prior missions trip to Israel has been canceled due to unforseen reasons and I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to join the Papua New Guinea team. I have revised the contact info for the head of this mission as well as a few other things but this is primarily the same support letter I sent prior. Again thank you for your prayers or support. I humbly come before you in earnest request for your prayers and or support. After many years of living lost even though knowing the truth of Jesus, I found I was only wearing the t-shirt and not living for Him. 2 yrs ago after my divorce I had all but given up on life. After calling out to God many times He revealed my purpose. I've always known deep down but ran from it. Now I accept it gratefully and with great joy. The Lord has called me to ministry. As many of you know I have fully given my life back to Christ, have been writing and most importantly am attending Christ for the Nations Bible College. (CFNI). I'm finishing my 3rd week now. I'm called to Pastoral and to be a Communicator. I've also felt a strong call to missions. My gift is in communication through showing own scars and wounds to help others with theirs. My ministry is Relative Transparency in Christ which is also the name of my book and blog. Theunknownauthor.net will lead you to it under the ebook link should you want to inquire. Many of you have had significant roles in my life, have ministered to me, discipled me and have spoken great words over me that have never left me and led me to the point I am now. In preparation for ministry and missions I'm serving one day a week at Mission Arlington and work two jobs. With school I can only work so many hours. I attend school 8 to 12 Monday- Friday and Tuesday nights. So work is limited. I'm doing automotive electrical 4 days a week and delivering pizzas a few nights a week for gas to get to and from school. I cannot get financial aid because CFNI does not allow it. They don't want us in debt when we graduate and I'm ok with that but it is stretching my faith greatly. I do not make enough to cover my bills nor tuition. By the grace of God My Pastor is supporting to go to CFNI. My church helps with half my monthly installments because they believe in me and support missions. They are committed to help as much as they can and were they not I would not be attending. My Pastor is also mentoring me and is becoming my spiritual Father more every day. Through our prayers and the Lords leading he is the one who helped lead me to CFNI. I've got a required summer course to take and it is a missions trip. It can be taken any summer semester but I have a sense of urgency to go this summer. The Lord has put a deep love and burden in my heart for the mission field The missions trip I have signed up for this summer was Israel but due to various reasons the mission has been canceled. The next on my list which I was fortunate to get in on is the mission to Papua New Guinea. I am believing in faith that it has been saved for such a time as this. I have wasted many years of my life due to bad decisions, drugs, marriage to the wrong person for me, you name it. But I know God is the redeemer of time. I love Jesus with all my heart and just want to take Him to the Nations. I fully lay down my life for Him now and that my testimony should be told to help others. The cost of this trip plus summer tuition are around the ballpark of $4,100 to $5,000 dollars. That doesn't cover my time off of work or Any bills. I have already sold almost all I have to just be able to attend school. There is no way on my own income I can make this by the end of April. We leave in May. The Bible says we have not because we ask not. And that we are of little faith. I believe in the same faith it took to see the lame walk, the blind see and the dead raised. I want my own ministry to be marked with these things. If we can believe for that from the creator of all things then surely financial provision to reach the ends of the earth with His message is nothing. What I am asking of you in faith is to please prayerfully seek the Lord and ask Him if this is something you would consider supporting. Either in prayer or financially, however possible if you are led. I will have a formal letter sent out from the school asap regarding this fund raiser and prayer support. The dates of the trip would be May 9-23rd 2010. The person over this mission is as follows: Scott Cowley. CFNI Dallas. 817-302-6371 missions@cfni.org or scottcowley@msn.com My Contact info is: Matthew Scott 817-308-3425 great78ster@gmail.com 1550 N Main St Lot 86 Mansfield, TX 76063 To those who know me and have spoken into my life I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not giving up on me and continuously lifting me up in prayer. For your guidance and help financially before. And for loving and not judging me I sincerely thank you. Any prayer requests you may have please send them to me and I will return the favor. I thank you in advance for your prayers and support. I just ask that you please pray on this. I desperately need your help. Please also forward this email to anyone you know or feel led to that wants to support missions and a pastor to be. In the love and thankfulness of Jesus. Matthew Scott. Real, transparent, brutal truth and insight, revealing the heart of God without religion, "Christianeese" sayings or judgment, to the backdrop of my own skeletons exposed to bring you healing and freedom in knowing that you are not alone and through faith and a relationship in the true Jesus of the Bible, not of man, you can overcome and live in freedom.
